ENTERTAINMENT: The Disney cruise line is well known for their family friendly programs, activities and clubs that offer ample entertainment for children as well as the parents traveling with them. Disney Wonder offers an abundance of on board activities that offer age-specific activities as well as opportunities for the whole family to spend time together with interactive workshops and shows.
Babies and Toddlers ages 12 weeks - 3 yr. old: Flounder's Reef Nursery is completely designed to accommodate very small children and is almost one of the only nurseries at sea). The nursery has plenty of toys, swings and bouncy chairs with a ratio of counselors to children that is very agreeable (1 to 4 for infants; 1 to 6 for toddlers).
Toddlers and Young Kids (3 - 4 and 5 - 7): Disney Wonder offers up the Oceaneer Club that separates 3 and 4 years olds and 5 - 7 year olds and offers plenty of activities than include free-play on a gigantic indoor pirate ship, making chocolate chip cookies, putting together an enormous Mr. Potato head and making a batch of green Flubber.
Young Kids (8 - 12): The Oceaneer Lab overlaps 8 - 9 year olds and 10 - 12 year olds is a haven chock full of computer stations, and has a giant video wall to play video games on and even a simulator that let's the kids virtually steer the Disney Wonder in and out of various ports of call. Throw in a Pajamarama pizza party and parents may find themselves with a lot more free time than they expected.
Tweens (11 - 13): Edge offers the cruise Tweens a space to get away from younger kids and play video or board games, internet TV and social activities that are sure to please. Or enjoy a day at the pool making friends and hitting the buffet for conversation and treats.
Older Kids (14 - 17): Vibe has big-screen TV's, internet access, board games, a soda bar and MP3 players as well as a boys vs. girls trivia challenge hosted by younger crew members. Learn some hip-hop moves or sing karaoke in this area that is full of inviting fluffy chairs and couches in a coffeshop/dorm room atmosphere.
For All (the whole family): Disney Wonder offers a lot of interactive family activities to enhance your vacation with time well spent together. Take for instance Studio Sea where families can enjoy dance parties and engage in comical game shows. How about watching a movie together in the Buena Vista Theatre; 3-on-3 basketball tournaments; karaoke with a Disney theme and scavenger hunts. But don't forget that although this "Wonder"-ful ship is primarily geared for the family at large there are plenty of "adult-only" areas of the ship as well as bars and lounges for after hours.
DINING: Disney Wonder also offers the signature Rotational Dining experience that the DCL is known for. Essentially you dine at a different restaurant every night of your cruise. This allows for a whimsical family dining experience that varies from night to night with new cuisines and new entertainment. There is also a Character Breakfast when famous Disney characters stop on by every table for photos and autographs. Animator's Palate is a particularly delightful animated-theme restaurant on board Disney Wonder that actually has holograms on the menus.
CABINS: Disney Wonder is also home to the DCL signature line of larger-than-industry staterooms, which attracts a lot of cruise travelers that are voyaging without children. The cabins themselves are designed with families in mind by offering bedrooms and living rooms that are separated so that the parents don't have to be turn out the lights when the kids do.
