Weighing in at an impressive 146,600 gross tons this mega-ship, which debuted in 2013, comes in at number 11 (previous holding the title as the 5th largest) on the list of the largest cruise ships.

The Breakaway is ran by the Norwegian cruise line and home ported in New York sailing to the Bahamas, Bermuda, all of the Caribbean and locally on "cruise to nowhere" itineraries that sail right off of the coast for a few days of fun at sea. She can hold up to 4,028 passengers with over 2,000 cabins that range in price and size from a standard inside cabin on up to the extravagant and spacious Deluxe Owner's Suites.

Breakaway has a nice design that is inspired by it's home port in The Big Apple. Breakaway is a high energy ship that attracts mostly adult couples and groups of all ages and is also very family friendly with an extensive kid program for small children, pre-teens and older teens.

This large cruise ship has 18 decks that are chock full of your normal cruise ship amenities like a library, casino, gym etc. Breakaway boasts over a dozen bars and lounges including a Cigar Lounge and an Ice Bar which is literally a bar that is made out of ice; a phenomenal Aqua Park with slides that spin you 360 degrees before spitting you out and two Free Fall slides as well; an impressive 27 restaurants, some even with outdoor seating; Sky Trail which includes a ropes course, bungee trampoline, zip-lining and an 8-foot long "plank" that juts out over the ocean on the side of the ship.
